Pakistan and Tajikistan have agreed to exempt holders of official passports from visa requirements.
The decision came after a two-day official visit between the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During their meeting, Prime Minister Shehba said that the two countries are working further to promote trade, agriculture, health, education and investment, VisaGuide.World reports.
In the talks above, the topic of terrorism was also raised, where Shehba pointed out that Pakistan and Tajikistan are affected by the threat.
Pakistan has been facing the scourge of terrorism for a long time now. The country has made significant sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He also expressed his support for Palestine due to the war situation that the latter is facing. In this regard, the Gaza Health Ministry revealed that since October 7, at least 37,925 Palestinians have been killed, and 87,141 have been injured in the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Tajikistan Diplomatic Passport Holders Can Stay in Pakistan for Up to 90 Days
As of May 5 of this year, Pakistan issued diplomatic visas for Tajikistani citizens for a period of three months.
Citizens of 126 countries can apply for a simplified visa procedure in Tajikistan in all visa categories. In addition, foreign citizens with a standard visa or who can enter Tajikistan without a visa must register at the Ministry of Interior for ten working days after arrival, while diplomatic staff must register at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
25 Countries That Enjoy Visa-Free Entry to Tajikistan Since May 2024
Recently, the country also announced an expansion in its visa-free travel policy, opening its doors to citizens from another 25 countries, which include those as follows:

Following the new rules, citizens from these countries will now enjoy visa-free access to Tajikistan for up to 30 days. Tajikistan introduced a unilateral visa-free regime for citizens over 55 from 16 countries, too, meaning eligible travelers can enjoy a 14-day stay in Tajikistan.
