Starting from August 14 this year, Chinese citizens will be exempted from the visa application fee when traveling to Pakistan.

By removing the visa fee for Chinese citizens, Pakistan aims to promote travel to the country as well as strengthen the economic relations with China.

Pakistan Extempted 126 Countries From Visa Fees Recently
Recently, Pakistan has also implemented a similar move in 126 countries by approving digital visas and exempting them from fees. Following the new rules, they can now obtain business and tourist visas within 24 hours through electronic travel authorization.
The Prime Minister vowed that Pakistan will ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in the country and that no incident will happen again, referring to the tragic one in Bisham where Chinese nationals were killed. Furthermore, he said that these two countries will also strengthen cooperation, including IT, economy, minerals and agriculture.
With the improvement of bilateral agreements in such areas, Prime Minister Shehbaz noted that Pakistan can meet Chinese demands by exporting high-quality goods. The same further suggested relocating some industries to Pakistan due to China’s shift towards more advanced and sophisticated industrial enterprises.
As of January 31, 2023, the China visa from Pakistan is available for nationals of the latter who wish to visit China for a short-term or long-term visit. Both countries share a friendly diplomatic relationship, so their citizens have the right to travel to the other country for many reasons.
China Currently Permits Visa-Free Entry for Pakistan Diplomatic Passport Holders
Pakistanis holding diplomatic passports can visit China visa-free for up to 30 days or stay in Hong Kong for up to 14 days per visit. Such a 14-day Chinese visa-free visa also extends to Macau.
In addition, official passport holders can also visit mainland China for 30 days and Hong Kong for 14 days without a visa. The main purpose of the visit is to determine whether a short-stay visa is required.
