Visa Applicants to Complete Simplified 30-Question Form

The same authority explains that visa applicants must complete a streamlined form with 30 required fields in the online system. If the application does not appear on the “black list,” a visa notification will be automatically issued. If it does appear on the list, the application will be reviewed within 24 hours. The process is free of visa fees and document review charges.

Earlier this month, Pakistan abolished visa fees for citizens of 126 countries and simplified the visa application process. As a result, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) revealed that visitors from these countries can now apply for a 90-day visa within 24 hours, thus promoting tourism in Pakistan.

Following new rules, travelers are able to enjoy a streamlined process with a simplified form containing only 30 questions.

With a similar target, during last month, Pakistan also launched e-gates at Gwadar Port and nine airports nationwide. Commenting on this decision, Prime Minister Sharif pointed out that these e-gates are expected to be initially installed at airports such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

In addition, a new visa-on-arrival option has also been approved specifically for Sikh Yatrees (pilgrims) holding third-country passports.

As of August 14, 2024, Turkish nationals can obtain online visas to visit Pakistan without being charged a fee as part of the latter’s efforts to facilitate Turkish citizens’ arrival in the country.

On the same day, Pakistan also decided to exempt Chinese citizens from the visa application fee when traveling to there.
