A visa-free regime will be unilaterally applied to Chinese citizens in Azerbaijan for a period of one year following a recent joint declaration of Azerbaijan and China, in which the two countries also established a strategic partnership.
The declaration states that both sides are working further to facilitate mutual travel among their citizens, VisaGuide.World reports.
Azerbaijan Visa For China
Currently, citizens of China can travel to Azerbaijan with an electronic visa. The e-Visa system allows travelers to obtain their visas online without visiting an Azerbaijani embassy or consulate in person. It also enables them to enter and travel within Azerbaijan for tourism or business purposes. An Azerbaijan e-Visa is valid for 90 days and allows a stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days.
Azerbaijan and China will establish a strategic partnership based on mutual respect, equality, trust, support, benefit, and cooperation. China also welcomes Azerbaijan’s participation in the annual China International Tourism Fair and other tourism exhibitions to develop tourism.
The Parties emphasize that terrorism, separatism, and extremism pose serious threats to the entire international community and require joining efforts to prevent and combat these challenges.
According to the declaration, both parties will avoid any actions that, in the view of either party, could harm the strategic partnership and strategic relations between the two states.
China & Azerbaijan to Expand Their Economic Corporation
In addition, Azerbaijan is willing to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with China, tap the potential, and enhance cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, investment, new energy, and culture within the Belt and Road cooperation framework. It is also willing to collaborate closely within the SCO and other frameworks, oppose external interference, and safeguard regional security and stability.
The Parties express their readiness to strengthen exchanges to ensure high-quality and full employment, improve the social security system, and train qualified personnel to improve the population’s well-being.
Knowing their strong economic complementarity, the extraordinary potential for developing cooperation in industrialization and investments was also discussed.
As a result, the new cooperation mechanism for industrialization and investments between Azerbaijan and China will be fully utilized, the contacts for the vision will increase, and the activities of both companies will be facilitated. The countries will also actively promote cooperation in priority areas such as energy, oil and gas production and refining, green energy, and transport infrastructure.
