How To Enter Svalbard as a Digital Nomad?
You need a visa to enter Svalbard only if you are required to obtain a Schengen visa to enter Norway. Otherwise, you can travel to Svalbard without the need to apply for a residence permit or visa.
To stay more than six months in Svalbard, you must register as a resident at the Population Register of Svalbard within 8 days of arrival. When you move within and from Svalbard, you must send a change of address notification by downloading, printing, and filling out this form, then submitting it to the Svalbard tax office.
If you do need a Schengen visa to enter Norway, you must get one with at least two entries because you have to leave Svalbard through Norway. Make sure you leave Svalbard within the dates specified on your Schengen visa; if the visa expires, you might not be able to enter Norway during your departure.
