Authorities in Ras Al Khaimah have introduced the Golden Visa Program for private school educators residing in the emirate.
The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) said that the program gives dedicated professionals who meet the needed requirements the opportunity to become self-sponsored by holding a long-term residency in the UAE, VisaGuide.World reports.
The Golden Visa Program was created to attract and retain exceptional talent in the educational sector, taking into account school principals, teachers, and leaders within schools in Ras Al Khaimah.
Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, RAK DOK Board Member, told Gulf News that the initiative recognized the critical role that educators play in improving the quality of education for all students in Ras Al Khaimah.
Al Naqbi said that the program acknowledges the contribution of teachers and is consistent with the objective of establishing a world-class education system in Ras Al Khaimah.

The Golden Visa Program of Ras Al Khaimah consists of two main categories:
- School Leaders: principals, vice-principals, as well as school directors
- Teachers: qualified educators employed in private schools in Ras Al Khaimah
The regulatory authority will make the application process to qualify applicants easier, taking into account specific criteria: at least three years of residency and work in Ras Al Khaimah, proof of a positive impact on their performance in school, and a degree in a relevant field.
