Russian institutions have requested the cancellation of the visa regime between Georgia, analyzing the appeal of the party “Solidarity for the Peace of Georgia” addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The first congress of the Solidarity for Peace party took place in November of last year. Georgia Asked for Facilitation of Employment Rules for Russians in Exchange for Visa-Free Entry
Earlier, representatives of the pro-Russian Solidarity for Peace party appealed to Putin with a request to altogether cancel the visa regime for Georgian citizens, as well as to hold an amnesty for those who were forced to violate the rules of staying in Russia before easing the visa regime.
To be honest, I have not seen this request; if there was a request, we will see it, and, of course, our relevant institutions will analyze this request.
In response to this request, Georgian politicians demanded the relaxation of employment rules for Georgian citizens in Russia.
On June 15 of this year, the pro-Kremlin party Solidarity for Peace held its second congress in Tbilisi, where it announced that it would take an active part in resolving Georgian-Russian relations until the restoration of diplomatic relations between the countries, which were suspended by the initiative of official Tbilisi after Russia recognized the occupied Georgian territories as “independent states” in 2008.

Commenting on the new decision, the Ministry of Transport of Russia pointed out that all the country’s airlines would operate seven weekly flights between Moscow and Tbilisi.
Following the visa-free program in 2023, Georgians are allowed to enter and leave Russia without a visa for up to 90 days based on valid identification documents, including for educational purposes.
The decree included a reservation for citizens “entering Russia for labor activity or a period exceeding 90 days for temporary stay in Russia, including for education.
Recently, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has also started visa-free waiver agreement discussions with 11 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, with potential plans for visa-free travel with all Persian Gulf countries under work.
