Even though the majority of EU countries have already dropped all of their entry rules, four of them still continue to require third-country nationals to meet Coronavirus-related rules.
The list of the EU countries that still keep COVID-19 entry rules in place for nationals of third countries includes France, Malta, the Netherlands, and Spain, VisaGuide.World reports.
Currently, France requires all travelers to meet entry rules. Nonetheless, different restrictions apply depending on the country a person is traveling from.
Travelers who reach France from a country that is part of the green list are required to hold a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate upon arrival.
On the contrary, somewhat stricter rules apply to travelers from countries that are part of France’s orange list. Vaccinated and recovered travelers entering France from an orange country do not need to follow any additional rules, whereas those who have not been vaccinated or recovered need to present a negative COVID test result and a compelling reason for their trip.
Likewise, Malta requires all travelers from third countries to present COVID proof. The Maltese government explains that all incoming travelers must present a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate in order to be permitted entry.
The requirement to present one of these certificates applies to everyone over six.
The Netherlands also still keeps COVID entry rules in place for travelers from third countries. The Dutch authorities note that currently, an entry ban applies to third-country nationals. In addition, the same explains that only nationals of third countries who have been vaccinated or recovered from the virus, as well as those traveling from safe areas, are permitted entry.
Despite lifting entry rules for nationals of the EU, Spain also continues to require non-EU travelers to meet COVID-related entry rules.
According to the Ministry of Health of Spain, all nationals of third countries must present a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate upon arrival.
In addition, the same emphasizes that those who do not hold an EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate or another equivalent document need to fill out the Health Control Form.
In contrast to the four countries mentioned above, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland have already dropped all of their entry rules.
Travelers from third countries can enter these 25 countries restriction-free, meaning they do not need to present any COVID certificates.
