Besides, the e-system is also expected to make it easier for the Libyan authorities to process visa applications. The system can process a large number of applications at once, thus reducing the waiting time for applicants.

The government of Libya also announced on Wednesday that people from certain age groups in Egypt and Türkiye are now exempt from needing a visa in order to reach this country.

According to the government, the decision comes as part of the framework of the application of the principle of reciprocity.

The decision means that all nationals from Egypt under 18, men over 45, and all women are excluded from the visa requirements when planning to travel to Tripoli. As for Turkish nationals, all those under 18 and all women and men over 55 are exempted.
