Kenya has launched its Digital Nomad Work Permit, giving internationals the opportunity to live and work remotely from this country in a legal way.
Announcing the new decision, the President of Kenya, William Ruto, said the country could be a home for digital professionals and their families, blending work with “the wonders of exploring Magical Kenya” daily, VisaGuide.World reports.
We are ready to welcome global digital professionals to come and live, work, and experience Kenya’s rich culture and stunning landscapes.
The recent changes are part of Kenya’s wider strategy to boost tourism, foreign investment and employment.
The permit is also expected to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship within Kenya.
This initiative not only enhances our appeal as a destination but also fosters a vibrant ecosystem that supports innovation and entrepreneurship.
Visa-Free Policy for Visitors From Several Countries
The President of Kenya also announced the introduction of a new visa-free policy for nationals from several countries, permitting tourists and businesses to explore the country without being subject to visa requirements.
The new initiative is also part of the goal of attracting a large number of internationals in the next few years.
Introduction of New ETA
In addition to the new Digital Nomad Work Permit, President Ruto also announced the introduction of a Transit and Long Connection Travelers Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).
