Today, March 19, 2025, the agreement on mutual visa exemption between Kazakhstan and Morocco has become effective.
Following the agreement, holders of national passports from these two countries can visit each other’s territories without visas for up to 30 days within every six months, VisaGuide.World reports.
The new changes have been confirmed through a statement provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The agreement is expected to further boost tourism, business, and cultural ties between the two countries.
Earlier this month, Kazakhstan and Morocco revealed that the visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders would take effect on March 19, 2025.
The date was published following a meeting held in Morocco between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita.
The coming into effect of this agreement reflects the spirit of friendship and the excellent relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Kazakhstan, in line with the Guidelines of the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Visa Agreement Between Kazakhstan & Morocco Signed in September 2024
The agreement on visa exemption between the two countries was signed in the 79th UN General Assembly held on September 26, 2024.
Back then it was highlighted that the agreement is valid only for short-term stays.
Citizens of Kazakhstan and Morocco are exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit, and temporary stay in each other’s territories based on valid national/ordinary passports. The duration of each stay must not exceed 30 calendar days within 180 days from the date of entry.
Those planning to stay in each other’s countries for longer periods than those included in the visa-exemption agreement or plan to find a job, study, or engage in entrepreneurial activities are required to obtain the appropriate visa from the diplomatic missions or consular offices of the host countries.

The decision was confirmed through a statement by the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
