Can I Extend My Visitor’s Visa in South Africa?
Yes, you can— you are subject to one extension per visit. However, you must apply for an extension 60 days before the visa expires. It usually takes 30 to 40 days to decide on your visa extension.
Requirements for an extension include the following:
- Valid passport (passport must be valid for no less than 30 days after the expiry of the intended visit).
- Statements or documentation that detail the purpose of your visit and how long you will stay.
- Proof of valid ticket; must include return ticket as well.
