How Does an eVisa Work?

An eVisa is an electronic permit that serves the same purpose as a paper-based visa, but the entire application process and granting of the visa is done online. Usually, for an eVisa, you can find the application form on the embassy website of the country you want to visit. Then, after you fill out the application, you receive the permit in your email, and you can download and print it to present it to the border patrol upon entry.
