Allowing entry to travelers who have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 disease has become the most normal thing all over the world as each country’s authorities want to assure that public health is not at risk.

Since every country is responsible for deciding on its own regarding the entry rules and requirements, being vaccinated against the Coronavirus disease and being vaccinated with a jab that a destination country recognises have happened to be two different issues.

Consequently, the enthusiasm of travellers regarding the revival of international travel has faded away since a large share of countries only allow entry to travelers who have been immunised with specific COVID-19 vaccine doses, VisaGuide.World reports.

In order to avoid any inconvenience when travelling to another country, it is highly suggested that everyone checks the validity of their vaccine. This can be done by using the vaccine-checker tool developed by VisaGuide.World, which allows all travellers to verify whether the vaccine dose they have been immunised with is accepted as valid proof of immunity by the country they plan on visiting.

According to the figures provided by the vaccine-checker tool, until now, only ten countries allow entry to travelers who have been vaccinated with the CanSinoBIO vaccine. These countries are as follows:

  • Argentina
  • Chile
  • China
  • Ecuador
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  •  Kyrgyzstan
  • Malaysia
  • Mexico
  • Pakistan

The Chinese-made CanSinoBIO vaccine has not been approved for use by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the European Medicines Agency (EMA) yet, which means that all countries that are not part of the above-mentioned list do not accept the vaccine as valid proof of immunity against the virus.

Is CanSinoBIO Accepted for Travel in the UK?

CanSinoBio is not accepted as valid proof of vaccination in the United Kingdom since the vaccine hasn’t got the green list from EMA.

As a result, all those who have been fully or partially vaccinated with the CanSinoBIO vaccine are not eligible to enter the UK restriction-free.

Until now, the UK has recognised only the four vaccines that have been approved by EMA, which are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty), Moderna (Spikevax), and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen). In addition, AstraZeneca Covishield and Moderna Takeda are also accepted.

Is CanSinoBIO Accepted for Travel in the US?

After keeping in place an entry ban for international travelers, the authorities of the US announced last week that the country plans on removing the entry restrictions for all those who have been fully vaccinated.

Nonetheless, since the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hasn’t approved CanSinoBIO, travellers who have been immunised with the jab will quite possibly be denied entry. Still, since the US hasn’t had a system for international travelers it is unclear what restrictions will apply.

Previously, VisaGuide.World reported that a total of 124 countries, including the UK and US, accept the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for travel.
